Destruct-o Baby
Travis & I were having dinner in the kitchen & Kam played in the living room while we ate. This is what she accomplished...
A little bit of Easter
We had a wonderful Easter weekend. It was filled with my Reid family. We spent Saturday celebrating. My cousin, Paige & her husband, Cody went to the temple together. We are so happy for them & grateful that we were able to be a part of such a special event. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures... But we had a wonderful pot-luck lunch followed by an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids, coloring eggs & rolling Easter eggs down "Old Main Hill" at the University.
Sunday we kept things simple but Kambrie did get her first Easter Basket!

Although she made quite the haul, she was not very interested at first...

But it didn't take her long & it was all over the room.
I think she liked it.

Family Vacation! Part 1
We just got back from our very first Family Vacation with Kambrie.
We started the weekend in St George. Before we got there we visited Cove Fort to give Kambrie a chance to get out of her seat & move around.

Kambrie absolutely loves picking the grass.
I was pretty nervous about how Kam would do for the drive, but she traveled like a champ! She really was an angel the whole time.

Someday I hope we get a little more use out of the portable dvd player. She could have cared less about her movies.
We were all happy to arrive. We went to dinner, which Kam loved! She got to sit in a highchair & there were lots of people walking by for her to look at.

She & Trav love to play. They were both ready for bed early.

The next day we had a few things we wanted to do before we met up with Grandpa & Grandma.

First a trip to Walmart because I always forget to pack something important...
Next, Travis had never been to the St. George Temple.

Of all the things we did this weekend, I think this hour we spent at the temple was my favorite.

Lunch at the Brick Oven & then we were off to Las Vegas!

An old post I never published
This is a post I was working on in March, so Kam is only 5 months old in these pictures.
Just wanted to share a few pics. Nothing cures my "Monday Blues" like this little girl:

I know she is a little young for this but we thought we'd try giving her a little rice cereal... just to see what she'd do. She was very interested... but it was just a big mess. So we'll wait until she has a little more control.
It was just cute. We get so excited to show her new things.

V-day
When February 14th rolls around, it's the same thing every year. Some people love it, some people hate it & everyone has an opinion. Well at our house we celebrate Valentines day. Nothing too fancy, just enough to say "I love you."
This year we celebrated like we usually do. Travis gave me flowers, we bought a new outfit for Kambrie & I gave Trav a "one of a kind" original gift from me.

I spent $0.00 on Trav's gift, using only things we had kicking around the house.

Kambrie helped by sitting in her chair & playing with her toys while I made it.

When she was done with that, we tryed a different chair with new toys...
And when that didn't last very long I put her under her gym.
You know how unreasonable a tired baby can be. I let her cry it out & it ended something like this:

I wish I thought she would be so forgiving when she's 13.
That night Travis & I went to see a production of "The Music Man" at the Ellen Eccles Theater with Tyler & Tashie. It was a great show & we really enjoyed a night out. Kambrie spent the evening with Grandpa Reid & Great Grandma Reid. We are so lucky to have so much family close by.

Before we put Kam to bed, we let her play with the tissue paper in her gift. It's fun to see how she changes. She had no interest in wrapping paper at Christmas, so I can't believe the difference a couple of months makes.
I love my Valentines!

New Favorite Toy!
All Kambrie wants to do these days is stand.

Here she is dancing with her daddy.
(I'm always trying to capture these precious moments. She is such a lucky girl. I have a feeling her younger siblings won't get to spend as much time with daddy as she gets to.)
Anyway, what she loves even more than standing is jumping! My mom has a friend who let her borrow this Fisher Price "Jumper" (that's not what they're called, it's just what I call it) for Kambrie to try.

She was a little unsure at first but has decided that it's a great toy & it gets her lots of attention, because she's just so cute in it! My dad thought she was so funny the day that she was bouncing so hard & fast that she panicked. Not understanding that she was the one making it move, she couldn't stop.
I almost bought a toy just like it yesterday, so I could have my hands free for just a few minutes! But to Trav's relief I didn't. It will always be something fun to do at Grandma & Grandpa's.

Now when she's at home & we lay her down to play with the gym she got for Christmas, she reacts like this...

One word...
SPOILED!!!
We love her!
