Our life in a flash!

Just a little update on what the Butterworths are up to.  Hopefully everyone knows by now that we have moved to Idaho Falls.  Travis started his new job with the INL back in November.  We made the move from Montana to Idaho in about 2 weeks, not a lot of time to plan, but luckily Trav's parents were willing to let us move in with them until we found a place of our own.

We had a great time over the next 6 weeks, Kambrie loved spending so much time with "Papa Steve" & "Lorie" :)

The week before Christmas we bought a house!

It took us daaayyysss to move in... but it was worth it.  Although a little boring for Kam at times but she was a trooper.

Watching a movie while the carpet cleaners & window guys were there.

One of the bedrooms upstairs was already pink & Kam loved it from the very beginning.  Everyone who came to see the new house got a tour from our little tour guide, Kam, & she was sure everyone was there to see her "kink room." (yes I know she's watching a movie again, I'm a terrible mother!)

After a long day of moving & everyone too busy to notice what time it was, little Kam tucked herself in for a nap... so cute.  Wish she had realized the floor would have been more comfortable than the box-spring.

But before you start feeling bad for little Kambrie, remember it was Christmas time!

We partied "like rockstars" with the Butterworth/Howell family.  I love this picture of Kam.  She just looks like one of the girls with her Aunties, Brittney, Kallie & cousin Brinley.

We spent Christmas Eve night at Papa & Grandma's, but don't worry Santa found her & spoiled her.  She got a new kitchen, a doll house & a stocking full of goodies.

But apparently Santa knew about our new house, so just to be safe he filled our stockings there too!

We had fun ringing in the New Year too!  Grandma Lorie took us all "Cosmic Bowling."  We had a great time & I promise Kam went home with Papa before midnight... but can't promise that it was to go to sleep ;)

Don't hate me Tash!  I know the red-eye but... I can't defend myself.  Kam loves her Aunt Tashie & Uncle Tyler.

And of course, she loves Uncle Trevor (& Aunt Crystal) too!

The other reason we love living in Idaho Falls so much is we can drive down to Utah WHENEVER WE WANT!

Kam & I have spent lots of time with her Papa Reid & Grandma Janeal (Trav comes too but usually leaves us there because when he is working we hardly see him & we get lonely)

Here's Kam at her first Aggie Game!  Papa & Grandma's favorite pass-time.  Mamie & Brad were even here for this one, before they moved to Wisconsin.

Last week we were there again.  She fell asleep on the way to the game & stayed asleep for part of the first half.  Only to awaken to the noise of the Spectrum.  Don't worry, Aggie Ice Cream can heal any hurt!  (P.S. I especially love the guy behind her... NOT)

We were really excited in February to see the San Francisco 49ers go to the Super Bowl!

Trav calls himself a "die-hard 9ers fan."  He's been their #1 fan even through all their tough seasons.  Wish they could have pulled off a win but it was still fun!

Being a stay-at-home mom, I find myself with a little extra time on my hands so I've been trying some new things...

Found a FREE PATTERN for this Crocheted Banana.  My first attempt at Amigurumi.

Also, my first time Mod-Podge-ing (not a good picture but you get the idea).

The house has quickly become our hobby.  I think all we talk about anymore are the things we want to do to the house... But over the years I'm sure we will have a lot of fun making it ours.

Our first project was painting the kitchen:

BEFORE

Very orange right!?  Not bad but felt a little like living in Cinderella's pumpkin...

AFTER

Couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Absolutely love the gray color (Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter) & we have plans in the works to add "pops-of-color" so, stay tuned.  More changes to come.

Here's a flash of the living room too:

Still trying to decide if I like the Red Wall (It was there before),  We'll see what I decide to do... (Trav's conceded that I do in fact choose better paint colors).

Everything will be a work in progress for a while.  Such is life for this extra frugal decorator!

Was that a Flash!?!  I'm not sure.  But that's a little catch-up for me

Much Love,
Brandi
